Rehearsal times together yielded more than a musical trio, it forged a friendship. When we decided to join the pilgrimage along St. Cuthbert’s Way, it was in hopes of sharing a spiritual journey that may deepen our friendship with each other while forming new relationships with our fellow travelers. Most importantly, while we learn to support and care about each other, we hope to deepen our relationship with our Lord. Our travels on day three of the journey was 11.5 miles of wondrous celebration of the beautiful world God has created. Traveling from the Scottish villages of Jedburgh to Morebattle, we explored through fields and forests, crossed streams and grasslands, and largely spent our time in communion with the breathtaking glory of God’s creation. We were reminded of the importance of the community we have formed with each other when one member was injured on the trail. In addition to the doctor who is a member of our crew, a group of six Good Shepherd pilgrims remained in with the injured traveler, providing support and comfort for 3.5 hours until the mountain rescue crew arrived. We are so happy to report that prayers work, she is doing fine and plans on walking tomorrow! Thanks be to God! If either of them fall down, one can help the other up. But pity the one who falls without anyone to help them up. - Ecclesiastes 4:10 Julia, Brenda, and Becky Previous Article Day 2 (June 14, 2022) Next Article Day 4 (June 16, 2022) Print 184 Rate this article: No rating Leave a comment Name: Please enter a name.
